Hearts2Hearts (하츠투하츠 hacheutuhacheu) shortened to H2H, is a South Korean girl group under SM Entertainment. The group debuted on February 24, 2025 with the debut single album The Chase.

Name Meaning[]

The name, "Hearts2Hearts," means that the group will connect with global fans with their own mysterious and beautiful music world filled with various emotions and heartfelt messages, and move forward together as a greater 'us'.[1]

Career[]

Pre-debut[]

On September 4, 2022, news reports revealed leaked documents and reports of SM Entertainment's upcoming schedule for the fourth quarter of 2022 and after. The reports revealed an unnamed "new girl band" (신규 걸밴드) listed for debut.[2]

On September and November, SM Entertainment's 'Training Unit' posted a series of images on their official Instagram account showing the silhouettes of eight girls whom are speculated to be members of their upcoming group.[3]

On March 4, 2023, SM Entertainment's 'Training Unit' announced that they would be holding a showcase for the female trainees that could be potential members for the new girl group. The showcase was held on March 15, 2023 and lasted for about 1 hour and a half at an unannounced venue in Seoul.[4] Since the showcase, the official Instagram account shared posts featuring several trainees with their faces obscured. Four girls, only known as '❤️', '💛', '💚' and '💙', attended a workshop in Japan with the training staff in April 2023.[5][6]

On May 24, 2023, SM Entertainment initially announced that the group would be debuting in the fourth quarter of 2023.[7] However on August 2, 2023, SM Entertainment announced the group is planning to debut in the first half of 2024.[8] On February 2, 2024, it was reported that they will be debuting in the late second quarter or early third quarter of the year.[9] On May 8, SM Entertainment announced that they will be debuting in the fourth quarter of the year,[10] before pushing it back again to the first quarter of 2025 by November 5.[11]

2025: Debut with The Chase, first music show win, "Style"[]

On January 12, 2025, a VCR played during the second day of SM Entertainment's 30th anniversary concert revealed that the eight-member group, named Hearts2Hearts, would debut sometime in February. That same day, SNS accounts were launched. The next day, it was announced that the group will make their debut on February 24, 2025.[12][13] On January 31, Hearts2Hearts' official Instagram account was opened to the public, giving a sneak peak of the members. In addition SM announced that the group will open additional social media accounts at midnight on February 3, and would. simultaneously release the full version of their surprise trailer.

On January 31, Hearts2Heart unveiled a series of silhouette teasers through their Instagram, giving a sneak peek at the members.[14][15][16][17][18] Days later, on Februray 3, additional SNS accounts were opened for the group and the official lineup was revealed through their debut trailer revealing the members and their names. Later on the same day, SM announced Hearts2Hearts' debut showcase, Hearts2Hearts Debut Fan Showcase "Chase Our Hearts".[19]

Hearts2Hearts made their official debut on February 24, 2025, with their first single album, titled The Chase, and its title track of the same name. The Chase was later certified Platinum by the Korean Music Contents Association (KMCA) for selling 250,000 copies on Circle Chart.[20]

On March 11, Hearts2Hearts earned their first-ever music show win on The Show for "The Chase".[21]

On April 30, local news outlet Ilgan Sports reported that Hearts2Hearts would be making their first-ever comeback with their second single sometime in June, with SM Entertainment confirming the reports hours later.[22] On June 9, it was announced that Hearts2Hearts would be releasing the digital single "Style" on June 18.[23]
